Going with the annexation of Korean Peninsula by Japan in 1910, the then Imperial Family of Korean Empire became to be treated almost the same as Japanese Imperial Family. Yi Un, the Crown Prince of Korean Empire, lived in the mansion in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo, as shown in the picture, and did a military service as a high-ranking officer of the Japanese army. He married a princess of one of the Imperial families in Japan in 1920, and had two sons. This mansion, thereafter, was transferred to a private-sector after the Second World War in 1955 to be used as Akasaka Prince Hotel with 35 rooms. In 2016, the name of this facility was changed to the Classic House at Akasaka Prince, which is equipped with a restaurant, banquet hall and wedding hall. This building is not a hotel anymore.
