'Katsuo-ji' Buddhist Temple in the mountainous region of Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture.

The origin of this old temple is uncertain though, it's thought to have been flourished as a base of mountain worship since the 9th century. An old document, reading that the Emperor Seiwa named this temple 'Katsuo-ji' in 880, remains. Because of inconvenient transport, as it takes 30 minutes by bus from the nearby train station, this temple usually stands in a quiet environment. However, in autumn, many visiters rush here to enjoy the stunning red leaves. This temple is widely known as one of the best places of autumnal leaves in Osaka.
